A Walk Around The Lawn: Winter
The students are back. Summer is over. The nights are cool again, and the days are shorter. It's a changed atmosphere. In this post, we snap from the summer gardens to a presage of winter. It doesn't snow much in Charlottesville, but once or twice a year we get enough to cover the ground. This is what it can look like on a clear winter day. These photos are from January 2016. Gear Photos were made with a Nikon Coolpix A.

Local Gardens Overgrown and Wasting Away
It's now September, and whatever was growing in the gardens at the local park is now past its harvest date. It doesn't look like much was grown or harvested. Someone let the sunflowers grow. That's about all that you can recognize. Some of the gardens are brown and wasted. Others are overgrown, and the gates are closed. There are a few flowers inside, but not much else. In fact, they look abandoned. Gear Photos were made with a Nikon D750 and a Tamron SP 35 mm f/1.4 Di
