A Walk Around The Lawn: HDR Panoramas

There are lots of ways to make panoramas. You can scan your smart phone across a scene and let your phone do the rest. Or you can put your DSLR on a tripod and scan across a scene and stitch the photos in software. Or, you can rent a tilt shift lens, put it on a tripod, shift it left, center, and right, and stitch the photos in software. Better yet, you can bracket your exposures and Lightroom will merge them into an high dynamic range panorama. The HDR panoramas here were made with a PC-E Micro NIKKOR 45mm f/2.8, otherwise known as a tilt-shift lens. The results were cinematic -- 2:1 or 16:9 frame sizes looked just about right.

Gear Photos were made with a Nikon D750 and a Nikon 45 mm PC-E f/2.8 lens.
