At the Jan. 20 gun rights rally in Richmond, Virginia, second amendment patriots savaged Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam by comparing him to Hitler and every other totalitarian fascist of the 20th century. They also mocked him as "Coonhound," a reference to his nickname "Coonman" from his VMI college year book. One vendor was selling T shirts that read "My Governor Is An Idiot." As of this post, 91 of 95 Virginia counties have declared 2A stronghold status, whereby they declare that they will refuse to enforce unconstitutional laws that restrict second amendment rights. The rally in Richmond was met with a show of police force after Gov. Northam declared a state of emergency several days before the rally. One woman was arrested for wearing a scarf over her face in violation of an anti-mask law. In contrast, state police wore state issued ski masks that covered most of their faces on the cold 25 degree January morning.
