A Walk Around The Lawn: Zeiss APO 135 mm

April 1, 2019

The Zeiss ZF.2 135 f/2.0 APO Sonnar is a superb lens.  Often, there is a temptation to claim that a great photo is so good because of the lens, or maybe the camera, even though the same great photo might have been taken with different gear on the same day.  That's the temptation with the Zeiss 135 APO Sonnar - to claim that your photos are great because of the lens -  but the more you use it, the more it really seems to be true, and the more you just seem to make great photos with it.  Maybe, if you compared it to some similar lenses, and did some careful real world photos on a tripod, the differences would be too small to notice.  However, it just seems that there are never any disappointments with the Zeiss 135 APO Sonnar.   Here are some photos from a walk around The Lawn in the Spring of 2018.

Gear Photos were taken with a Nikon D750 paired with a Zeiss ZF.2 135 f/2.0 APO Sonnar.
