Shooting Brick Walls Around the Grounds

May 15, 2018

Jefferson built with bricks, and, today, The University is almost entirely surfaced in brick. Jefferson used bricks for pavillions and Lawn rooms and serpentine walls. Sometimes, the walls need repair, or there is a need to get something to the other side of the wall. Then, the walls get repaired, or temporarily opened and closed. Sometimes a brick wall serves as art. Brick walls are everywhere, and they are aesthetically pleasing. Why not shoot them? The possibilities seem endless. So, to engage in the photographer's cliche, here are some photos of brick walls.

Gear Photos were shot with a Nikon D750 paired with a Zeiss Milvus 35 mm f/2.0, or were shot with a Nikon Coolpix A.
