Game Day - In The Stands

We continue the game day football photos with the fan's view from the stands. Most games provide a sunny afternoon under blue skies. One or two night games per season offer a chilly evening under the lights, but it's rarely very cold in Charlottesville, even in the Fall at night. The season is usually ideal for football and half-time performances. Once a year, on military day, helicopters, B1 bombers, or jets fly over the stadium. On high school band day, high school bands from around the state flood the field at half-time. Game day is well choreographed. There are no gaps with nothing to view. Even TV time-outs are scripted with spot interviews and presentations on the jumbotron. Here are some frames from the last several seasons.

Gear Photos were shot with a Nikon D70s paired with a Zeiss 135 mm f/2.0, and a Nikon D750 paired with either a Zeiss Milvus 35 mm f/2.0, a Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8, or a Nikkor 85 mm f/2.0.
